IG Islamabad Reviews Recruitment and Public Facilitation Measures


ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has undertaken a detailed review of the ongoing recruitment process and candidate facilitation measures in the Islamabad Police, emphasizing transparency and merit at each stage.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, IGP Rizvi chaired meetings with senior officials, including DG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joiya, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DIG Headquarters Muhammad Atique Tahir, DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq, CTO Kainat Azhar Khan, and NPF Director-in-Chief Brigadier (R) Ahmed Nawaz. The discussions centered on ensuring that every phase of the recruitment process is completed timely, with adherence to professional standards to provide equal opportunities for all candidates.



The meetings also covered administrative, operational, and security aspects of the Islamabad Police. IGP Rizvi instructed officers to enhance public service delivery, improve departmental coordination, and boost overall performance.



In a subsequent open court session at the Central Police Office, IGP Rizvi addressed grievances from citizens and police officers, issuing immediate directions for resolution. He emphasized that resolving citizens’ issues is a priority for the police force and encouraged public participation in these sessions.



IGP Rizvi also mandated that public complaints be resolved on merit within the set time frame, with compliance reports submitted to the Central Police Office. He instructed officers to adhere to public meeting schedules and ensure prompt action on citizens’ concerns. The IGP highlighted that daily open courts have been instrumental in addressing public grievances effectively.
