Islamabad, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, a senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter, has strongly criticized the Narendra Modi-led Indian government for its ongoing policy of attaching and confiscating properties in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement issued from Islamabad, Safi labeled the Modi regime’s actions as politically motivated vendettas, aimed at stripping the people of occupied Kashmir of their land, properties, and jobs. This, he said, is an attempt to suppress their support for the self-determination movement. He also emphasized that people under occupation have the right to resist their occupiers by any means available.
In a related development, Qazi Imran, another leader of the APHC-AJK chapter, echoed these sentiments in his own statement in Islamabad. He condemned the Indian government’s actions against Hurriyat leaders and activists and called on the United Nations and international human rights organizations to take notice of what he termed as Indian state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
