Human life lost its dignity in presence of one million Indian troops in IIOJK: APHC

Srinagar, January 31, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned the surge in the extrajudicial killing of Kashmiri youth by Indian troops across the territory. The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that gross violation of human rights has become a norm for the occupation forces and human life has lost its dignity in presence of more than one million Indian occupation troops in the territory.

“Besieged, the occupied territory has been converted into a military garrison where the new recruits are trained to fight the local population without taking into account the number of casualties.” The spokesman lauding the strong commitment of the freedom-loving people of Kashmir said that for the past 74 years of Indian illegal and forcible occupation, people have bravely faced the worst tyranny and brutality perpetrated by Indian occupation forces in Kashmir.

Despite these repressive measures, he added, India has miserably failed to break the will of the people regarding their inalienable right to self-determination. Paying rich tributes to the recently martyred five youth in Pulwama and Budgam fake encounters, the he termed the gruesome killings as a brazen violation of Human Rights Charter of 1948 of the United Nations.

Taking a dig on the inhuman treatment meted out to the civil population of the occupied territory the spokesman said such inhuman tactics have utterly failed to suppress the freedom sentiments of the people and there is no option for India but to evacuate its forces from Kashmir.

The APHC spokesman urged the United Nations Security Council to pressure India to allow right to self-determination and implement its Resolutions on Kashmir and stop genocide, extrajudicial killings and arbitrary arrests by Indian forces in Kashmir.
