Harnai Minister Halts Unauthorized Private Medical Store in District Hospital

Harnai: Provincial Food Minister Haji Noor Muhammad Khan Damar intervened to stop the operation of a privately-run medical store within the district headquarters hospital in Harnai, asserting that government facilities must not house private enterprises.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Minister Damar expressed his disapproval during discussions with the District Officer-in-Law and various public delegations. He emphasized that the hospital should focus on providing free medical supplies and facilities to the underprivileged, rather than allowing private entities to operate within its premises. The minister directed Deputy Commissioner Harnai Arif Khan Kakar to ensure that no private medical stores operate in the hospital and to address the issue of absentee doctors, particularly highlighting the absence of female doctors who are on the payroll but not present.

The community, represented by social circles in Harnai, has voiced support for Minister Damar’s actions, appreciating his commitment to upholding the integrity of public healthcare services.
