Hanif Abbasi Emphasizes Enhanced Railway Ties with Iran

Islamabad: Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its ties with Iran, underscoring the importance of enhanced railway connectivity between the two nations. According to Radio Pakistan, Abbasi made these remarks during a meeting with Iranian Ambassador Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam in Islamabad.

The discussions centered on boosting railway connectivity, with a focus on the Taftan-Zahedan railway route and the Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbul (ITI) freight train project. Both parties agreed that stronger railway cooperation could significantly promote regional trade and connectivity.

Ambassador Moghadam expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability, acknowledging Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in the region.
