New York: Pakistan has expressed its concerns over the ongoing crisis in Haiti, describing it as a serious issue for both the region and the international community. Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, made this statement during a United Nations Security Council briefing on the situation in Haiti.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ahmad emphasized that addressing Haiti’s prolonged and multidimensional crisis requires more than just security measures. He highlighted the importance of Haitian-led initiatives, supported by coordinated international assistance, as essential for sustainable progress in the country. Ahmad’s remarks underscore the need for a comprehensive approach in resolving the challenges faced by Haiti.
