Gwadar Officials Inspect Development Projects to Preserve City’s Heritage

Gwadar: Deputy Commissioner Hamoud-ur-Rehman and Chief Engineer of the Gwadar Development Authority, Haji Syed Muhammad, conducted inspections of several key development projects aimed at preserving Gwadar’s historical landmarks and improving urban infrastructure.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the officials visited important heritage sites including tar ghar (the old post office), Charpadgo, and Gulag Market, focusing on projects designed to maintain the city’s ancient heritage for future generations. Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the progress of critical infrastructure projects such as the road from Shaheed-e-Jiwani Chowk to Mulla Fazil Chowk, and the construction of sewerage lines on PTCL Street and drainage systems from Gulag Market to Dimizar. Emphasizing the importance of timely completion, he directed that all development efforts should advance swiftly to enhance public services.

The visit also included an inspection of the fish market at Gwadar Jetty, where the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the sanitation and facilities available to fish vendors, ensuring they meet necessary standards.
