Islamabad: Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi visited the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Secretariat and met with Chairman HEC Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar to discuss the advancement of higher education in Sindh. The meeting emphasized promoting academic excellence and strengthening universities within the province.
According to Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, the discussions focused on enhancing collaboration between the HEC and the provincial government to further develop the higher education sector. Chairman HEC Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar briefed the Governor on the Commission’s responsibilities and initiatives aimed at improving the quality, relevance, and accessibility of higher education nationwide.
Governor Hashmi acknowledged the contributions of the HEC towards advancing higher education and affirmed the government’s commitment to supporting efforts that increase educational opportunities and institutional capacity.
