Islamabad: Pakistan Customs seized smuggled goods valued at more than 915.5 million rupees in a series of operations conducted in July. The operations, which were driven by intelligence reports, led to the confiscation of various high-value items.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement in Islamabad played a central role in these operations. Among the seized items were 24 high-value smuggled vehicles and 121,250 sleeves of foreign cigarettes. Additionally, twelve vehicles used for transporting these smuggled cigarettes were also confiscated.
The operations further resulted in the seizure of large consignments of smuggled goods, including cosmetics and tyres. The efforts signify Pakistan Customs’ ongoing commitment to combating smuggling and enforcing trade regulations within the country.
