Governor of Sindh Participates in Mother’s Day Event, Pledges Support for the Elderly in Karachi


Karachi, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori marked Mother’s Day with a visit to the Darul Sakoon Welfare Society, where he interacted with the elderly, engaging in games and discussing their welfare. The event, aimed at honoring and supporting the elderly, also included pledges by the Governor to enhance their living conditions and recognize the profound role of mothers in society.



According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori was welcomed by Fazila Inayat, the General Secretary of Darul-Sakoon Welfare Society. During his visit, he toured the facility, spending time with residents, playing carrom board, and taking photographs with them. In his address, he emphasized the cultural and religious significance of respecting and caring for one’s parents. Governor Tesori announced plans to organize a picnic for all residents of Dar-ul-Sakoon, underscoring the importance of family in personal happiness and societal well-being.



The Governor also expressed his views through a poem about the enduring love and importance of mothers, highlighting their role as a child’s first love, best friend, and guide throughout life. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for the elderly in Sindh.
