Government Pledges Support to Committees Addressing Crimes Against Women

Islamabad: The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary, pledged full institutional support from the government to parliamentary committees focused on crimes against women. Speaking in the Senate, he emphasized the government’s commitment to providing necessary assistance whenever committees require input from ministers or government departments. Dr. Chaudhary also reiterated the government’s ongoing support for efforts to strengthen the justice system.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Senate session witnessed the passage of “The Iqbal Academy (Amendment) Bill, 2026,” along with the introduction of six other bills. These bills have been referred to the relevant standing committees for further consideration. The Senate session was adjourned until Monday evening.
