Pakistan and China Celebrate 75 Years of Diplomatic Relations, Affirming Strong Ties

Islamabad: Pakistan and China, described as “time-tested and iron-clad friends” by Minister for Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, have grown stronger in their bilateral relationship over the years, standing resilient through various challenges. According to Radio Pakistan, these remarks were made during a ceremony commemorating the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations.

The Minister emphasized that the friendship between the two nations is characterized by a profound, enduring trust and strategic cooperation, likening it to being “higher than the mountains, deeper than the oceans, and sweeter than honey.” This partnership has been instrumental in socio-economic development and regional connectivity initiatives, with Pakistan expressing deep appreciation for China’s unwavering support.

Sheikh further highlighted the critical role of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in enhancing infrastructure development, promoting investment, ensuring energy security, and fostering industrial growth in Pakistan. CPEC remains a cornerstone of Pakistan’s strategy to boost its economy and strengthen its ties with China.
