Government Commits to Stable Fertilizer Supply Amid Regional Challenges


Islamabad: The government will ensure a stable supply of fertilizer to safeguard agricultural productivity and food security, as stated by the Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain. Despite facing regional challenges, the government aims to maintain consistent availability for farmers across the country.



According to Radio Pakistan, the announcement came during a high-level meeting of the Fertilizer Review Committee chaired by Rana Tanveer Hussain. The minister highlighted the importance of close coordination among manufacturers, distributors, and provincial authorities to sustain uninterrupted supply chains. The discussions underscored the necessity of monitoring fertilizer prices to prevent artificial shortages and hoarding, ensuring accessibility and affordability for farmers.



The meeting’s focus on these strategies reflects the government’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector amidst external pressures, aiming to protect the nation’s food security.
