ISLAMABAD: The government has announced progress on a National Digital Master Plan aimed at fostering growth across various sectors and enhancing services for citizens, according to Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema. This initiative was discussed during a meeting on the Pakistan Digital Authority chaired by Cheema in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Cheema highlighted the importance of digitalisation and AI-driven transformation in delivering concrete results across government functions and contributing to sectoral growth. In the realm of education, the Minister underscored the necessity for a structured approach to impart modern digital and AI-related skills through educational institutions. This includes equipping students, even at the primary and middle-grade levels, with skills relevant to the future through formal education, supported by current knowledge and practices.

In the healthcare sector, the meeting addressed the implementation of unified patient records and a comprehensive registry to maintain clinical histories and treatment information across both public and private hospitals.
