Gilani Engages in Discussions with Former Ministers and PPP Delegation


Islamabad: Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani convened separate meetings with former federal ministers and a delegation of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) representatives at Aiwan-e-Sadr today to discuss the prevailing law and order and political situation in the country.



According to Press Information Department, the acting president met with Senator Noor-ul-Haq Qadri and Senator Azam Khan Swati to deliberate on various national issues. The meetings focused on the overall law and order and political climate, reflecting ongoing concerns within the country’s political landscape.



In a separate engagement, a delegation of PPP representatives from South Punjab met with the acting president. The delegation, consisting of Barrister Mudasir Shah, PPP ticket-holder for MPA from Multan; Imdad Ullah Abbasi, District President PPP Lodhran; and Zaman Langrial, PPP ticket-holder from Kabirwala, Khanewal, informed Mr. Gilani about issues pertinent to their respective regions.



Later, Mr. Ali Umar Alvi also met with the acting president to discuss matters of mutual interest, further underscoring the series of high-level discussions taking place at the presidential office.
