PATNA, A gangster in Bihar, India, was reportedly killed in a private hospital following an altercation with a doctor and hospital staff.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the gangster, identified as Chandan Kumar, had visited Riya Hospital in Rupnagar village, Begusarai district, for medical treatment. The dispute with the doctor escalated, leading to Kumar being beaten to death. The accused doctor, identified as Ajit Paswan, and other staff members allegedly used sharp objects in the assault.
The incident triggered a violent response from the gangster’s followers, who set the hospital and several huts belonging to the accused doctor ablaze.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Yogendra Kumar stated, “The gangster used to visit the hospital for treatment. An argument ensued after the doctor refused to treat him, following which, the gangster was beaten to death.”
A special team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Amit Kumar has been formed to apprehend the doctor and other staff members involved in the incident.
