ISLAMABAD: The funeral prayer for Constable Irfan Arshad of the Islamabad Police was conducted with full official honors at the Police Lines Headquarters in Islamabad. The event was attended by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, senior police officers, police personnel, and numerous individuals from varying sectors of society.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the ceremony included a guard of honor presented by a contingent of the Islamabad Police. IGP Rizvi laid a floral wreath, offered Fateha, and prayed for the elevation of the deceased’s soul in the hereafter.
In his remarks, IGP Rizvi commended Constable Arshad’s professional services, dedication, and sense of duty. He extended his condolences to the bereaved family and assured them of the Islamabad Police’s unwavering support during this challenging time. He also promised that all necessary measures would be taken to ensure the welfare and well-being of the officer’s family, including the provision of all legal, financial, and welfare-related benefits.
Special prayers were offered for Constable Arshad at the conclusion of the funeral ceremony. His mortal remains were subsequently sent to his native town for burial, to be conducted with full official honors.
