ISLAMABAD: In a significant law enforcement operation, the Islamabad Police have apprehended 20 individuals involved in various criminal activities, seizing drugs and an assortment of weapons in the process.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made by multiple police teams, which detained 10 individuals allegedly involved in criminal activities. In these operations, officers confiscated 130 grams of Ice, 75 bottles of liquor, one gun, three rifles, and four pistols, along with ammunition. Legal cases have been filed against the suspects as investigations continue.
Additionally, as part of a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, another 10 criminals were captured. The initiative follows directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who emphasized an ongoing crackdown on crime to maintain peace in the city.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the police’s commitment to safeguarding residents’ lives and properties, emphasizing that any attempts to disrupt public peace will not be tolerated. The police encouraged citizens to report suspicious activities to local stations or through the “Pucar-15” helpline to help eliminate crime through community collaboration.
