ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has implemented a series of measures aimed at alleviating congestion around the city’s weekly bazaars. The initiative follows directives from Chief Traffic Police Officer Kainat Azhar Khan, focusing on ensuring a smooth traffic flow and minimizing disruptions for citizens.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, senior officers have conducted visits to the weekly bazaars to evaluate traffic conditions and to provide guidance to traffic officers on effective duty performance. Traffic police personnel have been stationed at strategic locations, including entry and exit points and parking areas, with the objective of preventing any disorder or obstructions.

In a statement, CTO Islamabad Khan urged citizens to utilize designated parking areas to facilitate uninterrupted traffic movement. She warned that any violations would result in legal actions, including fines. Khan emphasized the importance of traffic law adherence for the convenience and discipline of society, highlighting the ITP’s commitment to protecting citizens’ life and property and ensuring efficient traffic management in the capital.
