Four Members of Snatcher Gang Arrested in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have apprehended four members of a known snatcher gang, as part of a broader effort to combat street crime in the federal capital. The arrests were made by the Sumbal police station team, which has been actively pursuing individuals involved in numerous snatching activities.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, law enforcement officials recovered looted cash, mobile phones, and weapons with ammunition from the suspects. These items are believed to have been used in the commission of their crimes. Authorities have already filed cases against the individuals, and further investigations are currently underway.

The crackdown on criminal elements follows directives from DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, who has mandated a comprehensive campaign to apprehend those involved in robberies, street crimes, and other serious offenses. The operations have reportedly led to a noticeable decline in such activities within the city. DIG Tariq has instructed officers to maintain pressure on those who threaten the safety and property of citizens.
