Islamabad, January 31, 2022 (PPI-OT):Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a telephonic conversation with Foreign Minister of Togo Robert Dussey on Monday. The Foreign Minister briefed his counterpart on the aims and objectives of Pakistan’s ‘Engage Africa’ policy.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said bilateral relations between Pakistan and Togo are based on common on regional and global issues. He said establishment of a mechanism for cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade and defense sectors between Pakistan and Togo will further expand bilateral relations.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan is committed to continue providing diplomatic training to young diplomats of Togo at the Foreign Service Academy, Islamabad. The two sides agreed to establish a bilateral mechanism for sustainable and regular exchanges between their respective Ministries.
