ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have instituted comprehensive security measures across the federal capital, following directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to ensure the safety of citizens and their properties.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, senior officers visited multiple churches and security checkpoints in the city, engaging with officers and personnel stationed on duty. During these visits, they stressed the importance of enhancing the effectiveness of security checks to safeguard citizens. Officers on duty were instructed to maintain vigilance, conduct thorough checks of suspicious individuals and vehicles, and report any dubious activities immediately to the relevant authorities.

The police also emphasized the need for personnel to interact with the public courteously to foster trust between law enforcement and the community. The Islamabad Police reiterated that protecting citizens’ lives and property remains their paramount objective, and all security measures are aligned with this goal.

Citizens have been urged to cooperate with the police by reporting any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or through the Pucar-15 helpline.
