Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that the flyover at the Jinnah Avenue Interchange is projected to be completed by the second week of February. This follows the successful completion of an underpass in just 42 days, as he directed authorities to expedite the project within the set timeframe.
According to a statement by Press Information Department, during his visit to the F-8 Jinnah Avenue Interchange and F-10 Roundabout expansion projects, Minister Naqvi emphasized the importance of maintaining high construction standards while ensuring timely completion. He instructed that beautification work should continue alongside the construction activities.
Minister Naqvi inspected the progress at both sites, noting that the base slabs of the Jinnah Avenue Interchange flyover’s box girder have been completed. He urged the completion of landscaping and horticulture work within the stipulated timeframe while ensuring the quality of construction.
Furthermore, he reviewed the F-10 Roundabout expansion project and directed its completion by the first week of February. The minister stated that these projects aim to alleviate traffic congestion, facilitate smoother travel, and provide significant time and fuel savings on the signal-free corridor.
Chairman CDA Mohammad Ali Randhawa briefed the minister on the progress, with Federal Secretary Interior Muhammad Khurram Agha, senior officials from NESPAK, and other authorities present during the visit.
