Finance Minister Commits to Early Budget Consultations to Promote Economic Growth

Karachi: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to advancing structural reforms, ensuring policy consistency, and fostering an environment conducive to investment and sustainable economic growth during a meeting with the Pakistan Business Council in Karachi.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister acknowledged the council’s role in facilitating dialogue between the Government and the private sector on key economic and policy issues. He highlighted the Government’s proactive approach to budget preparation, stating that this meeting marks the beginning of consultations for the next federal budget rather than a post-budget review. The early start to the budget preparation process is aimed at enabling a more structured and consultative approach to fiscal planning.

Representatives from the Pakistan Business Council emphasized their role as a national business advocacy platform and stressed the importance of ongoing engagement between the Government and exporters to support export-led growth.
