Washington: Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, engaged in discussions with representatives of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) to seek accelerated support for private sector-led initiatives in various sectors. The meeting, held in Washington, D.C., focused on projects in energy, information technology, infrastructure, minerals, and food and agriculture.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister emphasized the alignment between the DFC’s investment focus and Pakistan’s development priorities, highlighting areas such as ports, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and supply-chain development. Aurangzeb and the DFC representatives also discussed the potential for establishing a DFC presence in Pakistan and the prospects of engaging with future U.S. congressional delegations.
