Islamabad: A meeting of the Capital Market Development Council was held in Islamabad, chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb. The session focused on reviewing strategies to advance Pakistan’s capital markets, particularly by accelerating the development of the corporate debt market and expanding access to diverse financing options.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister emphasized the importance of fostering a competitive and efficient capital market ecosystem. This would be achieved by encouraging increased institutional capacity and promoting competition among market intermediaries and infrastructure providers. The meeting underscored the need for strategic measures to strengthen the capital markets and ensure they effectively contribute to Pakistan’s economic growth.
