Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has reaffirmed the government’s support for value-added manufacturing and export-oriented sectors, emphasizing the role of energy-efficient technologies.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister made these remarks during a virtual meeting with representatives from the electric fan industry. Aurangzeb stressed the importance of promoting energy-efficient technologies, highlighting the need for increased awareness and implementation of existing initiatives to achieve the desired outcomes.

Aurangzeb noted that sustainable export growth relies on competitiveness, scale, and consistent policies. He pointed out that while taxation is crucial, factors such as access to finance, energy efficiency, and market development are equally important for enhancing industrial performance. The Finance Minister encouraged ongoing collaboration between the industry and government stakeholders to develop practical and innovative proposals.
