ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has expressed gratitude for the World Bank’s ongoing involvement in Pakistan’s economic reform and institutional development efforts.
According to Radio Pakistan, Aurangzeb’s remarks came during a meeting with a World Bank delegation led by Ms. Bolormaa Amgaabazar in Islamabad. The World Bank team provided updates on their technical assistance concerning Pakistan’s medium-term revenue strategy, tax policy office, and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) transformation initiatives.
The discussions between both parties focused on enhancing coordination, expediting implementation, and ensuring that reform measures align with broader fiscal and governance goals. Both sides reiterated their dedication to sustained collaboration and coordination aimed at advancing Pakistan’s economic reform agenda, bolstering institutional capabilities, and fostering sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
