Istanbul: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir conducted a series of significant engagements during his official visit to Türkiye.
According to Radio Pakistan, Field Marshal Munir held separate meetings with Saudi Arabia’s Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Türkiye’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of National Defence Yasar Güler, and Chief of the Turkish General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroglu. The discussions centered on matters of mutual interest, bilateral defence cooperation, and the regional security environment.
Field Marshal Munir also participated in the meeting of the Strategic Political and Defence Committee, a part of the Makkah Agreement for Joint Defence, which includes Pakistan, Türkiye, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting explored ways to enhance strategic coordination and defence cooperation among the three nations.
These engagements underscored the strengthening of strategic and defence ties between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye.
