Federal Secretary Chairs Meeting to Review Arrangements for Youm-e-Istehsal


Islamabad: A meeting chaired by Federal Secretary for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Kamran Rehman Khan, was held today to review preparations for the observance of Youm-e-Istehsal on August 5. The gathering focused on ensuring the event is marked in an effective and impactful manner this year.



According to Radio Pakistan, Secretary Kamran Rehman Khan emphasized the importance of close coordination among all relevant ministries and departments to maintain a unified national approach and effectively execute all planned activities. The meeting assessed the overall plan and reiterated the government’s commitment to highlighting the significance of August 5 through coordinated national and international outreach initiatives.



Youm-e-Istehsal is observed annually to mark the anniversary of India’s 2019 decision to revoke the special constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir under Articles 370 and 35A. The day is commemorated through seminars, rallies, media campaigns, and diplomatic outreach to express solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to draw international attention to the Kashmir issue.
