ISLAMABAD: In a significant operation, the Islamabad Police have arrested 34 individuals involved in various criminal activities, recovering drugs and weapons from their possession. The arrests are part of a broader effort to enhance security and maintain peace in the federal capital.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, teams apprehended 21 individuals linked to criminal acts, seizing 665 grams of ice, 330 grams of heroin, 20 bottles of liquor, 13 pistols with ammunition, and three knives. The authorities have initiated legal proceedings against the suspects, and investigations are ongoing.

The operation also targeted proclaimed offenders and absconders, resulting in the arrest of 13 additional suspects. The initiative is in line with directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of a campaign to curb crime in the city.

SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police’s commitment to safeguarding residents’ lives and property, reinforcing that public peace remains a top priority. He urged citizens to report any suspicious activities to the police via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to foster collaboration between the police and the community in combating crime.
