Federal Ministers Address Pak Saudi Business Forum in Islamabad


Islamabad: Under the leadership of Saudi Arabia’s Investment Minister Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz Al Faleh, the Pak Saudi Business Forum was held, attracting 130 investors. The event, addressed by Federal Minister for Board of Investment, Privatization and Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, highlighted the enduring and significant relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, emphasizing the historical cooperation of the Saudi Government in bolstering Pakistan’s economy.



According to Press Information Department, Abdul Aleem Khan, during his speech at the Business Conference, remarked on the vital role of the forum in fostering Business-to-Business activities. He stated the Ministry of Investment’s commitment to support the Saudi business community, underlining the strategic geographical position of Pakistan as a gateway from South and Central Asia to Saudi Arabia. He also mentioned the economic benefits Pakistan has reaped from the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), asserting the potential for further commercial activity through infrastructure improvements.



The forum served as a platform for signing multiple Memorandums of Understanding, heralding bilateral development and new investment agreements. Abdul Aleem Khan welcomed Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz Al Faleh and the Saudi delegation, offering full support to foster new investment opportunities, particularly in Pakistan. The meeting also included senior officials from the Board of Investment, where they discussed enhancing government-level bilateral activities and exploring new investment possibilities. The presence of Saudi authorities and heads of financial and international institutions was noted, alongside expressions of gratitude towards the Saudi Government and Royal Family for their ongoing support.
