Islamabad: Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar has congratulated the leadership and newly elected representatives of the Independent Group on their victory in the Supreme Court Bar Association elections.
According to Press Information Department, the Federal Minister extended his congratulations to Syed Amjad Shah and his entire panel, emphasizing that the Independent Group’s consistent electoral success demonstrates the confidence of the legal fraternity in the leadership of Ahsan Bhoon. Senator Tarar highlighted the group’s ongoing efforts for the welfare of lawyers, the dignity of bar associations, and the supremacy of law.
Senator Tarar also paid tribute to the late Asma Jahangir, acknowledging her contributions to democratic values and the rule of law as a source of inspiration for the legal community. He expressed hope that the new leadership of the Independent Group would continue to focus on promoting lawyers’ welfare, upholding the dignity of the bar, and strengthening the justice system.
