Hub: During a media briefing at the residence of Mir Ali Hasan Zehri, the Federal Minister of Commerce and Pakistan Muslim League-N leader, Jam Kamal, emphasized the need for upgraded municipal services and infrastructure in Hub, highlighting the district’s role as a critical industrial zone in Balochistan. He advocated for collaborative efforts between the Federation and the Government of Balochistan to address the area’s developmental needs.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Minister Kamal detailed the challenges faced by Hub, including the inadequacy of its municipal services to support its industrial significance. He proposed elevating the status of municipal corporations across Balochistan to metropolitan corporations to better manage their resources and responsibilities, especially in pivotal industrial districts like Hub.
The Minister also stressed the importance of political stability and unity among coalition parties, including the Pakistan Muslim League-N and the Pakistan People’s Party, for the success of the government’s initiatives. He highlighted the establishment of the Balochistan Revenue Authority as a step towards improving provincial revenue streams and supporting industrial development.
During his visit, Kamal also toured flood-affected areas in Belah Tehsil of Lasbela District, assessing relief activities and interacting with local constituents to address their immediate concerns. This visit underscores the government’s commitment to both immediate disaster response and long-term economic stability through industrial growth.
