Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Federal Cabinet have urged the nation to engage in special prayers on Friday, aiming for the transformation of the current ceasefire into a lasting peace, as well as for Pakistan’s continued development and prosperity. The Cabinet, meeting in Islamabad under the leadership of Prime Minister Sharif, reiterated its commitment to the country’s economic growth while recognizing the international acknowledgment of Pakistan’s diplomatic interventions.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Cabinet described the nation’s diplomatic achievements as historic, highlighting the progress toward lasting peace in the region attributed to Pakistan’s dedicated efforts. The Cabinet noted that both Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir have enhanced national pride by persuading involved parties to agree to a ceasefire amidst challenging circumstances.
The Federal Cabinet expressed appreciation for the efforts of Prime Minister Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in working towards peace and a ceasefire in the region. During the session, Prime Minister Sharif briefed the Cabinet on Pakistan’s ongoing initiatives and efforts to alleviate tensions and secure a ceasefire in the Gulf.
