Islamabad: A 12-member delegation of senior officers from Bangladesh Civil Services visited the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in Islamabad as part of a 21-day study tour of Pakistan. The visit aimed to explore Policy Innovation, one of the three core areas of their study program.

According to Press Information Department, the delegation, accompanied by Director General Civil Services Academy Farhan Aziz Khawaja, was welcomed by FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial. Chairman Langrial emphasized the historical ties and common governance legacy shared by Pakistan and Bangladesh. He discussed the importance of bilateral exchanges for mutual learning and institutional cooperation. The Chairman outlined FBR’s reforms to enhance transparency and efficiency, highlighting measures against corruption and the introduction of a modern performance evaluation system.

Presentations were given on initiatives under the FBR Transformation Plan, including POS Integration and Compliance Risk Management. The Bangladesh delegation, led by Ms. Salma Siddiqua Mahtab, expressed appreciation for FBR’s governance and reforms, hoping to implement similar initiatives in Bangladesh.

The visit, attended by senior Pakistan Customs and Inland Revenue Service officers, is expected to strengthen relations between the two countries through enhanced cooperation and experience exchange.
