Islamabad: The Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, officially opened the National Book Museum at the National Book Foundation, an initiative aimed at promoting book culture and showcasing the evolution of books. The event was attended by Member of the National Assembly Raja Qamar-ul-Islam, along with officials from the National Book Foundation.

According to Press Information Department, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui emphasized the museum’s role in highlighting the cultural and educational significance of books, featuring rare artifacts and installations that will inform future generations. The museum includes dedicated sections such as the Holy Qur’an Corner and Sufis’ Corner, as well as statues and artworks related to renowned literary figures.

Dr. Kamran Jahangir, Managing Director of the National Book Foundation, described the museum as a comprehensive representation of knowledge, featuring ancient manuscripts and special sections dedicated to Pakistani languages. Creative installations, designed by artist Azim Iqbal, further enhance the visitor experience by incorporating book-themed artworks and knowledge-based references.
