Fawad urges world to act for peace in Afghanistan 

Islamabad, January 31, 2022 (PPI-OT):Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has urged the world to come forward and act for peace in Afghanistan. He was talking to Japanese Ambassador Mitsuhiro Wada in Islamabad on Monday.

The Minister said Afghanistan should not be left alone in wake of unfolding humanitarian crisis. Talking about impacts of Covid-19 on economy, he said PTI-led government not only countered the Corona pandemic with a better strategy but it also strengthened its economy.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said government provided relief to the poor during the outbreak. He said Sehat Card and Ehsaas ration programs are major initiatives of the government in this regard. Information Minister and Japanese Ambassador also discussed cooperation in media including Japan’s technical assistance to Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television.

The Minister said PTV’s two channels have been converted to HD transmission and soon other channels will also follow suit. In his remarks, Mitsuhiro Wada said Japan will provide technical assistance to Radio Pakistan and PTV.
