ISLAMABAD: Overseas Pakistanis have expressed strong support for the government’s investment-friendly initiatives, appreciating recent steps aimed at their welfare and development.
At the inaugural Overseas Pakistani Convention in Islamabad, speakers highlighted the record-breaking remittance of over four billion dollars sent back to Pakistan in March 2025. This feat underscores the expatriates’ confidence in the current administration’s policies.
The convention, attended by prominent overseas Pakistanis, was organized under the aegis of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir. The participants extended their gratitude to the leadership for hosting a significant event that underscored their contributions and addressed their concerns.
Speakers noted that approximately two million Pakistanis residing in the United Kingdom are eager to invest in their homeland, thanks to the government’s facilitation of productive policies for overseas investors.
Furthermore, they proposed the introduction of five-year plans targeting both skilled and unskilled workers to explore new opportunities in the digital global landscape. They emphasized that millions of Pakistanis could secure employment abroad through advancements in technology.
