Ethiopia Ratifies Trade Agreement with Pakistan, Aiming to Boost Bilateral Trade

Karachi, The Ethiopian parliament has ratified a trade agreement with Pakistan, marking a significant step towards enhancing bilateral trade relations between the two countries. This development was announced by the Ethiopian Embassy in Pakistan, following the initial signing of the agreement on February 14th of this year.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ethiopian Ambassador in Pakistan, Jemal Beker Abdula, stated that this landmark agreement is expected to substantially boost the bilateral trade, which currently stands at over 80 million dollars. He emphasized that the ratification of the agreement would open doors for increased economic collaboration and strengthen the institutional linkages between Ethiopia and Pakistan.

The agreement also includes provisions for the establishment of a joint action committee on trade, fostering stronger cooperative efforts in various trade sectors. This move is seen as a pivotal moment in the economic relationship between Ethiopia and Pakistan, promising growth and mutual benefits for both nations.
