Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing Commemorates 75 Years of Diplomatic Ties with Chancery Event


Beijing: In celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing held a “Chancery Showcase and Tree Plantation Ceremony” at its Chancery. Organized in partnership with the Silk Road Cities Alliance, Jinshang Group, and WTL Design, the event featured live musical performances, a video presentation on the Chancery Building’s renovation, and a joint tree plantation ceremony.



According to Press Information Department, Ambassador Khalil Hashmi addressed the attendees, emphasizing the symbolic significance of the event. He highlighted that both the renovation of the Chancery and the tree plantation ceremony represent renewal and continuity, echoing the enduring and evolving relationship between Pakistan and China over the past 75 years.



Ambassador Hashmi noted that the renovated Chancery goes beyond a mere physical upgrade, integrating Pakistan’s cultural heritage with modern design to foster cultural expression and diplomatic engagement. The tree plantation, he elaborated, symbolizes sustained growth and a commitment to environmental responsibility and future generations.



The Ambassador also expressed gratitude to the Embassy officers and partner organizations, including the Silk Road Cities Alliance, Jinshang Group, and WTL Design, for their contributions to the project and support of the Embassy’s cultural and public diplomacy initiatives.



The ceremony was attended by a significant number of individuals from the Diplomatic Corps, media, and intelligentsia.
