Eid-ul-Fitr Celebrated by Pakistani Community in China with Traditional Festivities


Beijing, The Pakistani community in Beijing has come together to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, engaging in traditional practices and communal prayers. The celebration was marked with special prayers for the welfare of Pakistan and cultural festivities that highlighted the rich heritage of the Pakistani community abroad.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Eid prayers in Beijing were led by Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, and were attended by a cross-section of the Pakistani community, including diplomats, businessmen, educators, and students. Similar celebrations took place across China, including in regions like Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Gansu province, and Qinghai province, where Muslims gathered to observe the festival with enthusiasm.



The Pakistan Embassy in Beijing also organized an Eid Mela, which became a focal point for celebrations, drawing participation from numerous Pakistani families as well as Chinese guests. The event showcased traditional Pakistani foods, desserts, and provided a variety of activities for children, enriching the festive experience for the expatriate community and their local friends.
