Islamabad: The Secretary-General of the Economic Cooperation Organization, Dr. Asad Majeed Khan, has commenced a three-day official visit to Pakistan. The visit aims to strengthen ties and discuss the future direction of the regional bloc.
Dr. Khan’s agenda includes meetings with key figures in Pakistan’s leadership. He is scheduled to meet with the President, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, and other federal ministers. These discussions will focus on ECO’s initiatives and a reform agenda intended to revitalize the organization.
After completing his engagements in Islamabad, Dr. Khan will travel to Lahore. There, he will participate in the 294th Meeting of the ECO Council of Permanent Representatives. This meeting, which involves Permanent Representatives of ECO member states, is set to take place from the 12th to the 15th of this month.
