ISLAMABAD: An eight-member delegation from the Dupasi Foundation in Islamabad visited the Senate Secretariat at Parliament House, where they engaged in a comprehensive educational tour. The visit aimed to enhance their understanding of Pakistan’s parliamentary operations, including its history, evolution, and legislative processes.
According to the Senate of Pakistan, the delegation was welcomed and guided through the Senate Museum. Here, they received briefings on the country’s parliamentary history, the development of the Senate, and the intricacies of the legislative process. The delegation also viewed a documentary that provided further insight into the Senate’s functions.
The visit continued with a tour of the Senate Hall, where Senior Director General of Protocol, Mr. Tariq Bin Waheed, gave a detailed briefing on the activities of the Senate Secretariat. This included explanations of parliamentary procedures, committee work, and the broader legislative process.
The delegation expressed that the visit was informative and extended their appreciation for the hospitality and arrangements made by the Senate Secretariat.
