DIG Security Islamabad Focuses on Enhanced Surveillance and Rapid Response in High Security Zone

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Security Islamabad, Rana Umar Farooq, presided over a pivotal meeting aimed at bolstering security protocols within the High Security Zone. The session concentrated on improving surveillance measures and ensuring a swift response to potential threats.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting included key figures such as SP PM House Imtiaz Ali Mirani and Assistant Director Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) Umar Amin. The assembly assessed security and inspection arrangements at the entry and exit points of the High Security Zone. It also evaluated the readiness of the Bomb Disposal Squad, security equipment functionality, and overall security measures.

During the meeting, DIG Islamabad instructed officers to upgrade and modernize the security checking systems, enhance surveillance at all critical points, and ensure that the Bomb Disposal Squad remains in a state of constant operational readiness. He emphasized the importance of a prompt and effective response to any suspicious activities.

Furthermore, DIG Farooq directed that any identified issues be resolved without delay, and that security protocols be regularly monitored. He stressed that any negligence or laxity in the safeguarding of citizens would not be tolerated.
