ISLAMABAD: DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq presided over a meeting with officers from the Saddar zone to discuss crime control and operational strategies. The meeting focused on enhancing efforts to apprehend members of criminal gangs and addressing property-related crimes.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting was attended by SP Saddar zone Kazim Naqvi, along with SDPOs and SHOs from the Saddar zone. DIG Tariq emphasized the importance of compiling data on individuals involved in property crimes and ensuring their swift arrest. He instructed officers to conclude ongoing investigations fairly and submit necessary legal documents to courts promptly.
The directives also included maintaining strict surveillance on previously released offenders involved in property crimes and re-arresting them if they commit further offenses. Additionally, DIG Tariq stressed the need for increased efforts to catch those involved in vehicle and motorcycle thefts, aiming for the maximum number of arrests of proclaimed offenders.
The protection of citizens’ lives and property remains a top priority, and any negligence in this area will not be tolerated, DIG Tariq stated.
