Addl. IG Balochistan Reviews Advanced Systems at Safe City Islamabad


Islamabad: Additional Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Ashfaq Ahmed Khan, visited Safe City Islamabad to review its advanced surveillance systems. The visit, hosted by SSP Safe City/Capital Patrol Awais Khan, included a detailed tour of the central monitoring system, Command and Control Center, and the Police Operations Center Hall.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the delegation was briefed on the operational procedures and the utility of Safe City Islamabad, emphasizing its role in various sectors through modern technological initiatives. These include the Police Operations Center, Emergency Control Center, Dispatch Control Center, and the “Pukar 15” emergency helpline service.



The delegation learned about the performance and effectiveness of the city’s surveillance cameras, which contribute to maintaining security, preventing crime, and protecting citizens. Facial recognition cameras installed at city entry and exit points were highlighted as significant tools in identifying suspicious individuals.



The visit aimed to examine the impact of Safe City Islamabad in crime reduction and to observe its surveillance mechanisms. Additional IG Balochistan Ashfaq Ahmed Khan expressed appreciation for the advanced technological system and thanked IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and his team for the informative visit.
