DIG Islamabad Reviews Crime Strategies with Rural Zone Officers

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq held a significant meeting with officers from the Rural Zone to discuss the current crime landscape and operational strategies.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting saw the participation of SP Rural Zone Zeeshan Ali, as well as SDPOs and SHOs from the Industrial Area zone. DIG Tariq issued directives for a more robust crackdown on criminal gangs and emphasized the immediate arrest of absconding members. He underscored the need for compiling data on individuals involved in property-related crimes and urged for their swift apprehension. Additionally, he called for the prompt conclusion of cases under investigation and the timely submission of challans to competent courts.

Officers were instructed to maintain strict surveillance on previously released individuals linked to property crimes, with orders to re-arrest them if they engage in new offenses. Furthermore, DIG Tariq highlighted the necessity of targeting those involved in vehicle and motorcycle thefts, advocating for the arrest of proclaimed offenders. He reiterated that protecting citizens’ lives and property remains a top priority, warning against negligence in these matters.
