ISLAMABAD: In a bid to address public concerns and enhance transparency within the police force, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq and SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza conducted open courts at their offices. This initiative was undertaken following directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Ali Rizvi.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the open courts provided an opportunity for both citizens and police officials to voice their complaints and issues. Senior police officers were present to assist in resolving matters. Complaints were addressed, and applications were marked to concerned officers for prompt action based on merit, with reports required to be submitted within a specified timeframe.
The police officials emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards bribery and corruption, stating that strict action would be taken against any officials found engaging in such activities. They also reassured that the Islamabad Police is committed to ensuring the safety and security of citizens’ lives and property. These open courts are part of ongoing efforts to foster friendly policing, promote self-accountability, and provide immediate solutions to public issues.
