ISLAMABAD: A farewell ceremony was held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr Security division to honor Inspector Mukhtar Ahmed upon his retirement from the Islamabad Police.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the ceremony featured Superintendent of Police Aiwan-e-Sadr Tahir Khan as the chief guest, with other police officers in attendance. SP Tahir Khan commended Inspector Ahmed’s contributions to the police department, emphasizing that retirement is a natural conclusion to a career in public service. He urged officers to perform deeds that bring honor and ensure they are remembered with respect.
SP Khan also highlighted the importance of serving the public and seeking divine approval through dedicated service. He acknowledged that Inspector Ahmed dedicated a significant portion of his life to the department and the community, and that the department reciprocated with respect and dignity.
The superintendent assured that his office would remain open to the retired officer for any future personal or official matters. Inspector Ahmed expressed gratitude for the honor and thanked his colleagues for their support. The ceremony concluded with SP Tahir Khan presenting gifts to Inspector Ahmed and wishing him well in his future endeavors.
